Myakka River RV Resort is a full-hookup RV park right on the Myakka River in North Port, Florida and Myakka River State Park next door. We’re open year-round along this stretch of the Gulf Coast that’s one of the best-kept secrets in Florida. The Magic in the Location
The Myakka River is Florida’s first state-designated wild and scenic river, winding through wetlands, prairies, and hammocks teeming with bobcats, otters, alligators, and more than 100 species of birds. Roseate spoonbills, bald eagles, sandhill cranes, and osprey are regular sightings. Next door, Myakka River State Park covers 58 square miles of protected land with kayaking, hiking, airboat tours, a canopy walkway 25 feet up in the treetops, and a tram safari into the backcountry. North Port averages around 252 sunny days a year, winters are mild, and the Gulf Coast beaches are a short drive west. This is Florida as it was meant to be experienced.
Long-Term Guests Are a Big Part of Who We Are
Every fall, snowbirds from across the country point their rigs south and a good number of them end up right here on the Myakka River for the season. It’s easy to see why. North Port winters are mild and sunny, the Gulf Coast beaches are close by, and our park amenities are designed to make the park easy to settle into from day one. Full hookups with 30/50-amp service, pull-throughs, on-site laundry, high-speed WiFi, a heated pool, a dog park, and riverfront fishing right outside your door.
